Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • experience in fundraising required
  • event planning experience strongly preferred
  • some nights and weekends availability required
  • valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in nonprofit management, communications or related field
  • experience in fundraising
  • event planning experience strongly preferred
  • relevant sales experience preferred
  • strong organizational and project management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • goal-driven and results-oriented mindset
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • proficiency with CRM and digital outreach tools preferred
  • ability to engage with diverse community members and stakeholders
  • commitment to trauma-informed care principles
  • valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Job Duties

  • Plan and implement annual agency events to meet and exceed fundraising and cultivation goals
  • manage and organize projects to achieve fundraising and volunteer objectives
  • assist in coordination and implementation of the agency’s internal United Way fundraising campaign
  • identify, cultivate, solicit and steward corporate sponsors and donors, including in-kind donations
  • identify, cultivate and steward volunteers including advisory committees, event volunteers and internal groups
  • evaluate and report on successes and challenges of fundraising initiatives and recommend improvements
  • serve as liaison to advisory committees and oversee their activities
  • maintain accurate data entry for projects and special events
  • communicate frequently and consistently with internal and external customers
  • demonstrate courtesy, care and professionalism to all customers
  • work collaboratively with agency staff and volunteers
  • exhibit strong organizational skills and initiative
  • maintain punctuality and dependability
  • abide by agency policies and procedures
  • participate in training and networking opportunities to develop personal and program skills
  • contribute to agency committees and quality improvement teams
  • create and maintain a dynamic self-care plan
  • perform all essential functions on company physical work site
  • perform other related duties as assigned
