Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of three years professional experience in related field
- Computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and graphic design
- Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle
- Ability to travel to off-campus locations within and outside Rhode Island
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks related to event setup and breakdown
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of three years professional experience in related field
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and strategic planning
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Proven track record in coordinating special events and managing volunteers
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with corporate sponsors, hospital executives, volunteers, patients, media, and public
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and graphic design applications
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Assist with development, planning, and implementation of special events and fundraising programs
- Support development of event timelines, project plans, and resource allocation
- Manage and build relationships with event vendors, including negotiation
- Assist with event committee meetings and preparation of agendas and documents
- Provide on-site event and volunteer management and logistical support at revenue generating events
- Assist with event closure including evaluations, acknowledgments, and final budget preparation
- Support corporate solicitation process and sponsorship coordination
- Assist with solicitation and coordination of event auctions including creation of collateral materials
- Assist with recognition and acknowledgment of donors, sponsors, and volunteers
- Implement stewardship strategies to enhance donor and corporate supporter engagement and retention
- Track and document stewardship activities in CRM system
- Collaborate on event business and marketing plans including budget development and tracking
- Assist with event recruitment, promotion, sponsorship communications, and volunteer management
- Coordinate production of collateral materials including design, writing, proofing, printing, and mailing
- Manage business procedures related to in-kind donations, contracts, invoicing, and payments
- Maintain quality assurance, safety, and compliance with organizational policies
- Perform other duties to support development, corporate relations, and donor relations team goals
