Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in administrative or clerical roles
  • prior experience in nonprofit fundraising or development preferred
  • proficiency in Donor Perfect or similar donor management software
  • strong computer skills including MS Office applications
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • attention to detail and accuracy
  • availability to work full time during regular business hours
  • background check clearance

  • ability to maintain accurate records and generate reports

Job Duties

  • Record all donations in Donor Perfect
  • generate journal entries for Accounting
  • Prepare timely donor acknowledgments
  • serve as first point of contact for donor and in-kind donation inquiries
  • coordinate in-kind donation logistics including timely storage
  • maintain donor database and update program wish lists
  • reconcile donor reports with Accounting monthly
  • provide administrative support to Development team
  • coordinate Cakes for Kids and Feeding San Diego donations
  • research and solicit in-kind event donations from individuals and businesses
  • generate donor and mailing lists
  • assist with newsletter content
  • support department meetings
  • maintain Development Calendar
  • co-lead Holiday Donation Drive
  • solicit seasonal program needs
  • manage ongoing donation drives and storage inventory
  • coordinate donor recognition items such as bricks
  • support special event logistics and administrative needs
  • provide reception backup for CKC Administration
  • lead event registration and check-out using Greater Giving
  • collaborate with Special Events Coordinator on volunteer management and in-kind solicitations
  • manage event RSVPs, donor communications, and thank-you letters
  • assist with setup, cleanup, and preparation of materials for all events
  • input event data including auction items, guests, sales into Greater Giving
