Job Requirements

  • combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in social work or human service field
  • experience working with diverse clients and preferably refugees
  • project or program management experience preferred
  • ability to collaborate with local and national organizations and businesses
  • effective communication and partnership skills
  • ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-lingual settings
  • proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • fluency in English
  • ability to work independently and meet deadlines in demanding environments

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in social work or human services or related field
  • experience working with diverse clients in non-profit setting
  • preferred experience working with refugees
  • experience in project or program management including meeting deadlines and reporting
  • ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships
  • experience working in multicultural and multilingual environments
  • strong communication and emotional intelligence skills
  • adaptability and ability to work independently and in teams
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • fluency in written and spoken English

Job Duties

  • maintain donor cultivation and recognition in collaboration with the headquarters development team
  • expand community partnerships with faith-based and community groups
  • organize and manage volunteer and intern program including recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention
  • develop and maintain volunteer records including policies and standards
  • ensure accurate tracking of volunteer hours for reporting
  • create and execute in-kind acquisition strategy with operations and program teams
  • coordinate client in-kind needs and donation drives
  • plan and oversee fundraising and donation events including match support raising
  • provide leadership at community events to promote the agency
  • develop and maintain recruitment collateral for volunteers, in-kind, and financial support
  • liaise with national development staff on volunteer and corporate engagement opportunities
  • perform other duties as assigned
