Job Requirements
- Ability to read and demonstrate basic oral, written, mathematical and manual skills
- ability to communicate and be articulate in standard English
- willingness to work at least 40 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to work rotating shifts and on short notice
- ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to work in crowds and with loud music
- ability to lift or move items weighing up to 10 lbs
- ability to sit most of the time but also walk or stand for brief periods

Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent professional experience
- bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- minimum of two years customer service experience preferably in cultural arts or nonprofit environment
- prior membership or development experience helpful
- excellent listening and communication skills including written and oral
- strong attention to detail

- willingness to learn and take initiative
- ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently
- professional, proactive and resourceful style

Job Duties
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Development division
- anticipate and prepare background and presentation materials for meetings, solicitations, and development activities
- provide special handling to VIPs, donors, board members, trustees, and members at special events, concerts and tours
- assist in planning and execution of fundraising and cultivation events, special projects and initiatives
- assist in preparation and editing of grant applications and annual foundation reports
- assist in creation and distribution of annual donor impact report
- maintain Development calendar and priorities on the Rock Hall Global Calendar
- provide backup for donor data input, solicitation and acknowledgment processes
- research and create donor profiles as needed
- assist with tri-annual board activities including committee meetings, full board meetings, trustee onboarding, and annual board retreat
- assist with board mailings and email communications and track RSVPs
- enter and verify board, donor and member data
- support board engagement and cultivation
- arrange meetings and document next steps for Capital and Major Gift fundraising
- prepare pitch decks, research profiles and pledge forms for prospects and donors
- assist with tracking and reconciliation of Campaign pledges and anticipated payments
