Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Less than 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
  • Physically able to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 30 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to work onsite at specified Cox location
  • Willingness to follow safety and health procedures
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Previous experience in detail shop or buffing helpful
  • Safe driver with valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Regular ability to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
  • Medium strength to lift 1 to 30 pounds
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive motion tasks
  • Vision abilities including close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Clean out and de-trash interior of vehicles by removing any debris and trash from ashtrays, console, dashboard, door panels, seats, trunk and engine compartment
  • Remove license plates and stickers, disassemble spare tires in trunk
  • Wash vehicles using high-pressure washer or automatic car wash equipment, apply chemicals, power-wash engine compartment and clean battery terminals
  • Clean doorjambs, sills, interior panels, wheels, tires, hub caps, wheel wells, moldings, bumpers, headlights, taillights, exterior panels, trunk, hood, interior and exterior windows
  • Detail vehicles by cleaning and dressing trim, molding, weather stripping, instrument panel, steering wheel, dash molding, etc. with brushes
  • Buff vehicles by applying dressing to engine compartment, wheels, wheel wells, tires, vinyl tops, apply compound, cleaner and/or polish to vehicle interiors, wax and buff exterior painted surfaces
  • Vacuum interior, scrub, shampoo and spot clean carpet and upholstery, straighten seatbelts
  • Clean glove box ensuring warranty booklets, owner’s manuals and manufacturer info are returned
  • Follow all safety and health procedures and actively participate in safety activities
  • Perform other duties including driving vehicle into building and staging area, occasional sale day driving
