Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Must be able to relocate or commute to Saint Louis, Missouri
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related area
- Large group sales experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to up-sell and close sales proficiently
- Understanding of local market and competition
- Skilled in customer service and relationship building
- Proficient in sales software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Experience coordinating events and site visits
Job Duties
- Pulls through business and achieves revenue goals for all opportunities booking through the Sales Office
- Partners with Area Sales to identify new group/catering business and achieve personal and property revenue goals
- Partners with the Sales Office to book group events within the group booking parameters
- Up-sells products and services, with the ability to bring the sale to closure
- Engages in proactive selling of all facilities such as spa, golf, and restaurants to leisure guests and group planners
- Assists with selling, implementation and follow-through of group sales promotions
- Coordinates and executes all site inspections/visits at the property for out-of-market and in-market sales managers
- Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management
- Represents sales department at staff meetings and stand up meetings and reports on sales activity
- Attends pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs and obtain feedback on quality of product and service levels
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
- Acts as Personal Concierge to clients on site to help coordinate special requests
- Monitors the effective resolution of guest issues that arise from the sales process
- Verifies that the business is turned over properly and timely for quality service delivery
- Implements the brand’s service strategy and initiatives in all sales processes
- Participates in and practices daily service basics of the brand to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
