Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in commercial furniture dealership preferred
  • excellent organizational skills
  • interpersonal and communication skills

  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • willingness to learn new systems and programs

Job Duties

  • Assist designers with a variety of project deliverables
  • order product samples and finish samples
  • request COMs and product quotes
  • prepare color, materials and finish boards as needed
  • team with designers responding to RFP bids
  • prepare furniture presentations in Scout as required
  • maintain up-to-date and accurate design hour records according to current department standards
  • attend weekly design meetings and design training events
  • perform other duties or special projects as assigned
  • maintain, organize and facilitate access to information and materials in the library
  • ensure the library is adequately stocked with product literature and samples
  • order and retrieve samples as requested by the team
  • manage vendor information and schedule vendor presentations
  • recommend new vendors and products to be included in the library
  • maintain manufacturer binders and samples
  • advise employees regarding product sources, discontinued products and changes in methods
  • assist with training new designers in library aspects
  • gain broad knowledge of furniture products, methods and design trends
  • present in design meetings as assigned
