Job Duties

  • assist designers with a variety of project deliverables
  • order product samples and finish samples
  • request COMs and product quotes
  • prepare color, materials and finish boards as needed
  • team with designers responding to RFP bids
  • prepare furniture presentations in Scout as required
  • maintain up to date and accurate design hour-records according to current department standards
  • attend weekly design meetings and design training events
  • perform other duties or special projects as assigned
  • maintain, organize, and facilitate access to information and materials in the library
  • ensure the library is adequately stocked with product literature and product samples
  • order and retrieve samples as requested by team
  • manage vendor information and updates
  • schedule vendor presentations
  • arrange lunch and learn food for presentations
  • recommend new vendors and their products
  • maintain manufacturer binders and samples
  • advise employees regarding changes in product sources and discontinued products
  • assist with training of new designers in aspects of the library
  • gain broad knowledge regarding furniture products, methods, and design trends
  • present in design meetings as assigned
