Job Duties
- serve as deputy director for the Two Mississippi Museums
- formulate, update, and recommend operating policies
- implement operational and departmental policies
- oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of educational and event goals
- assist with security of persons and property
- ensure maintenance, preservation, and conservation of museums and grounds
- manage event rentals and visitor services
- oversee Mississippi Museum Store operations
- prepare annual fiscal work schedules and procurement requests
- compile visitation statistics and provide reports
- foster a customer service-oriented environment
- coordinate with museum teams for tours and events
- assist with museum grant programs
- respond to inquiries from visitors and the public
- assist with special projects and events such as the Mississippi Makers Festival
