Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or retail
  • ability to manage and supervise personnel
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • knowledge of employment laws and company policies
  • ability to operate production and check stand equipment
  • physical capability to lift up to 55 lbs and work under varying temperature conditions
  • manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or retail preferred
  • leadership experience in a supervisory role
  • knowledge of coffee products and preparation methods is advantageous
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage and motivate a team
  • understanding of employment laws and workplace policies
  • proficiency with computer software for inventory and scheduling
  • knowledge of product quality standards and merchandising
  • basic math skills
  • ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • familiarity with safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • champions company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals
  • handles customer relations in a positive manner including effective resolution of customer complaints
  • promotes personalized service philosophy in the coffee bar
  • fulfills customer orders by preparing specialty drinks and beverages and properly stocks pastry and other display cases
  • orders, receives and breaks down product shipments
  • stocks, displays and rotates product to maintain quality, temperature, cleanliness, selection and inventory
  • prevents sale of out of code product
  • creates effective displays for coffee, cups, pastry and related merchandise
  • maintains and cleans all production equipment
  • operates check stand equipment to process customer orders and handles cash procedures
  • assists customers by answering product questions and taking special orders
  • liaises with vendors and ensures compliance with vendor requirements
  • supervises, motivates, trains and participates in hiring coffee bar personnel
  • monitors associate performance and recommends personnel actions
  • schedules personnel to ensure coverage, service level and budget goals
  • supervises day-to-day functions to achieve customer service, sales and profit objectives
  • conducts daily inspections and initiates corrective measures to maintain compliance
  • assists with coffee bar duties such as cleaning, stocking and storage
  • implements promotional and seasonal displays
  • controls shrink and expenses
  • completes and monitors daily logs and reports
  • maintains records on advertised item movement
  • takes inventories and maintains accurate records
  • organizes work and sales areas
  • ensures proper merchandising by implementing schematics and signing procedures
  • follows company and vendor policies on pricing and handling reduced items
  • answers and responds to calls
  • maintains confidentiality
  • performs duties safely and with integrity
  • other necessary duties as assigned
