Job Duties

  • Champion company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals
  • handle customer relations positively including effective resolution of complaints
  • promote personalized service philosophy in the coffee bar
  • fulfill customer orders by preparing specialty drinks and properly stocking pastry and display cases
  • order, receive, and break downloads
  • stock, display, and rotate product to ensure quality, temperature, cleanliness, selection, and proper inventory levels
  • maintain and clean all production equipment
  • operate check stand equipment to process customer orders
  • monitor cash handling procedures
  • assist customers with product questions and special orders
  • make product suggestions and engage in suggestive selling
  • liaise with vendors and ensure compliance with their requirements
  • supervise, motivate, train, and participate in hiring coffee bar personnel
  • monitor associate performance and recommend personnel actions
  • schedule personnel to ensure coverage and budgetary goals
  • supervise day to day coffee bar functions to achieve customer service and sales objectives
  • conduct daily inspections and initiate corrective actions
  • assist with cleaning, stocking, storage and customer service tasks as needed
  • implement promotional and seasonal displays
  • control shrink and expenses
  • maintain accurate department records including sales, labor, and purchase reports
  • maintain organized work and sales areas including backroom, cooler and freezer
  • ensure proper merchandising following schematics and vendor policies
  • handle pricing and reduced-to-clear items in accordance with company and vendor policies
  • respond to incoming calls and resolve complaints appropriately
  • ensure all associates are trained in proper work duties
  • plan and conduct weekly sales meetings
  • maintain confidentiality concerning associates and company information
  • perform all duties safely, accurately and with integrity
