Job Duties
- Champion company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals
- handle customer relations positively including effective resolution of complaints
- promote Albertson's philosophy of personalized service in the coffee bar
- fulfill customer orders by preparing specialty drinks and properly stocking pastry and display cases
- order, receive, and break downloads
- stock, display and rotate product ensuring quality, temperature, cleanliness, selection, display, and inventory levels
- prevent sale of out of code products
- create effective displays for coffee, cups, pastry, and related merchandise
- maintain and clean all production equipment
- operate check stand equipment to process orders
- monitor cash handling procedures
- assist customers by answering product questions and filling special orders
- make product suggestions and engage in suggestive selling
- make intercom announcements
- liaise with vendors and ensure compliance with vendor requirements
- monitor inventory and space security
- supervise, motivate, train, and participate in hiring coffee bar personnel
- monitor associate performance and recommend personnel actions
- schedule personnel to ensure adequate coverage and meeting budgetary goals
- supervise daily coffee bar functions to achieve customer service, sales, and profit objectives
- conduct daily inspections and initiate corrective measures
- assist with coffee bar duties such as cleaning, stocking, storage, and customer service
- implement promotional and seasonal displays
- control shrink and expenses
- complete and monitor daily logs, purchase reports, and sales and labor paperwork
- maintain records on ad item movement
- take inventories and keep accurate records
- maintain and organize sales areas, backroom, cooler, and freezer
- ensure proper merchandising following schematics and signing procedures
- follow pricing policies for reduced-to-clear items
- answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately
- ensure associates are trained in their duties
- plan and conduct weekly sales meetings
- monitor and report associate performance and complaints
