  • Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, holidays
  • Ability to be on call 24 hours a day
  • Ability to work 50 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Experience managing a restaurant with a full bar preferred
  • Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in basic mathematical computations
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and enforce company policies
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly

Job Duties

  • Directly responsible for staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and ongoing development of department team members
  • Responsible for WCT training and maintaining department at training store certification
  • Develops direct reports by creating action plans when necessary
  • Coordinates with other Department Managers on hiring to ensure growth opportunities
  • Creates weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines
  • Develops and implements incentive programs and contests for department
  • Provides regular performance feedback and appraisals
  • Administers semi-annual merit increase process
  • Assists General Manager with coaching other managers
  • Oversees MIT training during training weeks
  • Assists General Manager with ongoing performance management of Bar, Hospitality and Assistant Managers
  • Utilizes subject matter experts as needed
  • Provides coaching to ensure execution of service standards
  • Communicates effectively through departmental meetings
  • Ensures team members have current state required training
  • Identifies techniques to attract new guests
  • Manages Guest Comment program and ensures timely handling of food quality complaints
  • Utilizes GEM program for guest satisfaction feedback
  • Facilitates adherence to new food product rollouts
  • Ensures team meets standards for food quality, recipe adherence and portioning
  • Communicates with food vendors and holds them accountable
  • Ensures menu specs and department systems are utilized
  • Helps General Manager coach team on quality, service and cleanliness
  • Analyzes restaurant performance tools and creates action plans
  • Conducts administrative functions such as entering invoices and inventory
  • Monitors department equipment and reports repair needs
  • Operates in accordance with Board of Health and food safety practices
  • Corrects BOH and Steritech issues immediately
  • Facilitates bar product and promotion rollouts
  • Communicates with beer and alcohol vendors
  • Ensures bar systems are utilized
  • Troubleshoots problem areas using performance measurement tools
  • Conducts administrative bar functions
  • Monitors bar equipment function
  • Manages food cost and operates department within company variance
  • Manages labor results within standard SPLH targets
  • Orders food and paper products
  • Maintains proper inventory levels with accurate validation
  • Establishes projections and understands P&L statements
  • Completes other assigned duties
  • Utilizes bar cost tools
  • Manages beer, liquor and beverage costs
  • Implements bar sales incentive contests
  • Assists with local restaurant marketing programs
  • Creates sales building incentive contests
  • Completes other assigned tasks
