  • Experience managing a restaurant with a full bar preferred

Job Duties

  • Directly responsible for staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and ongoing development of Department Team Members
  • Responsible for WCT training in the department and maintaining department training store certification
  • Develops direct reports by creating action/development plans when necessary
  • Coordinates with other Department Managers on hiring decisions
  • Creates weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines
  • Creates, develops and implements incentive programs and contests for department
  • Provides regular performance feedback including timely appraisals
  • Administers semi-annual merit increase process
  • Assists General Manager with coaching other managers
  • Oversees MIT training during training weeks
  • Utilizes support teams when necessary
  • Provides coaching and follow up to direct reports
  • Communicates effectively by holding departmental meetings
  • Ensures all Team Members have current state required training and permits
  • Actively identifies techniques to attract new guests
  • Responsible for restaurant's Guest Comment program and food quality complaint handling
  • Utilizes Guest Experience Management program
  • Facilitates adherence to new food product rollouts
  • Ensures all Team Members meet or exceed quality standards
  • Communicates with food vendors and holds them accountable
  • Ensures menu specs, recipes, and systems are adhered to
  • Helps teach and coach on quality, service, and cleanliness standards
  • Analyzes restaurant performance tools and creates action plans
  • Conducts administrative manager functions
  • Monitors department equipment and reports repair needs
  • Operates department following health and food safety practices
  • Corrects BOH and Steritech issues immediately
  • Facilitates bar product/promotion rollouts
  • Communicates with beverage vendors and holds them accountable
  • Ensures bar systems adherence
  • Troubleshoots problems using performance tools and creates action plans
  • Conducts administrative manager functions for bar
  • Ensures bar equipment functions properly
  • Responsible for overall food cost and labor results
  • Orders food and paper products
  • Maintains proper inventory and validates inventories
  • Establishes projections
  • Creates action plans on problem areas
  • Ensures bar cost tools utilization
  • Manages alcohol costs and bar labor results
  • Manages waste, comps, voids and discounts
  • Creates and implements sales building incentives
  • Assists General Manager with local marketing program
  • Completes all other assigned duties or tasks
