Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in computer data entry
- Experience in dealing with the general public
- Ability to speak Portuguese or Cape Verdean Creole
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Job Duties
- Greets and registers patients in a dental office setting
- Verifies and explains insurance coverage
- Understands, explains, and applies sliding fee schedule regulations, rules, policies and procedures
- Orients self-pay and underinsured patients regarding programs within the Health Center
- Registers patients upon arrival ensuring demographic information is accurate and updated
- Confirms patient appointments
- Makes new patient charts ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Schedules patient visits courteously and resolves scheduling problems and concerns
- Pulls charts for the week in advance
- Processes mail daily
- Collects patient balance payments and co-payments using facility computer system
