Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record if driving the mobile clinic
- Ability to resolve patient questions and concerns efficiently
- Minimum of 3 months cash handling and balancing experience
- Proficiency with computer systems and automated scheduling software
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish without an interpreter
- Capability to drive the mobile dental clinic vehicle when needed
- Commitment to working with underserved populations with cultural sensitivity
- Operates general business equipment and assists with clerical office needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual in English and Spanish without the need for an interpreter
- Previous experience working with patients in a medical or dental setting preferred
- Proficient with computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to operate automated scheduling systems
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions and balance drawers
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for new and returning patients in the dental clinic
- Answer phones and respond to general patient inquiries
- Greet patients upon arrival and provide excellent customer service
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with forms
- Resolve issues related to appointments, insurance, fees, and other general patient questions
- Enter and update patients' electronic medical and dental records accurately
- Connect patients with dental providers and provide informed answers regarding dental health
