Job Requirements

  • An experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with at least 3 years of clinical experience
  • organized, dependable, and detail-obsessed in the best way
  • a team player who brings good energy and adapts easily to change
  • passionate about great dentistry and even better patient care
  • familiar with digital charting such as Dentrix or Denticon experience is a plus
  • this is primarily a general assisting role, but surgical experience is a bonus
  • knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • understanding of health and safety regulations
  • excellent interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the Dentists chairside
  • welcomes patients
  • prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
  • selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
  • instrument sterilization according to regulations
  • maintains accurate patient records
  • lab tasks as instructed
  • provide post-operative care instructions
  • maintain clean and stocked operatories
