Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs
- Ability to raise a tray weighing up to 25 lbs to shoulder height
- Able to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift, and grab
- Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in work area
- Must be able to stand and walk for 4 to 8 hour shifts
- Must be able to hear well in loud environments
- Must meet health regulations related to food handling
- Able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations
- Must be able to serve all Denny's menu products
- Must be able to operate point of sale system
- Ability to work around potentially hazardous chemicals
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Must be able to pass all required tests and training for the position
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Possess excellent guest service skills
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to learn basic tasks and follow instructions

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends
Job Duties
- Greet guests immediately upon arrival and acknowledge them at departure
- Assist with guest seating using proper rotation and arrival order
- Suggestively sell menu items to achieve guest check averages
- Accurately enter orders into point of sale system
- Prepare beverage orders and some appetizers, salads, and desserts
- Check prepared orders for completeness and presentation
- Deliver food and beverage orders timely and according to standards
- Attend to guests throughout the dining experience promptly and courteously
- Use proper telephone etiquette and assist with take-out orders
- Pre-bus tables promptly and clear, clean, and preset tables after guest departure
- Address complaints and requests efficiently and courteously
- Demonstrate safe cash handling and accurately complete transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
- Complete required side work including deep cleaning assignments
- Adhere to Denny's brand standards and internal policies
- Assist others willingly without being asked
