Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years culinary experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to interact with guests and resolve conflicts tactfully
  • Must qualify for required licenses and permits
  • Must obtain ServSafe certification
  • Must complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively to managers and clients
  • Strong mathematical skills including computation of rates, ratios, and interpretation of bar graphs
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff diplomatically
  • ServSafe certification
  • ServSafe Alcohol training certification

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to buffet department staff
  • Support and administer operational goals
  • Monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives
  • Coordinate scheduling and address scheduling concerns
  • Administer all aspects of food preparation
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and stock levels
  • Support compliance to departmental budgets
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service
  • Maintain cost control procedures and inventory
  • Assist Sous Chef with administrative duties
  • Maintain quality assurance and health standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Address customer service issues as they arise
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in departmental matters
