Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum two years culinary experience or equivalent
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
- Ability to qualify for federal, state, and local licenses and permits
- Must obtain ServSafe and ServSafe Alcohol certifications
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift weights up to 50 pounds
- Capability to work in environments with fluctuating temperatures and moderate noise levels
- Willingness to maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage computations
- Ability to interact diplomatically with guests, staff, and colleagues to resolve conflicts
Job Duties
- Provide guidance and daily supervision to buffet department staff
- Support and administer operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives
- Coordinate scheduling and address scheduling concerns focusing on guest satisfaction
- Administer all aspects of food preparation ensuring a clean and well-stocked kitchen
- Support compliance with departmental budgets
- Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with company standards
- Monitor cost control methods and inventory levels
- Assist the Sous Chef with administrative duties
- Maintain quality assurance procedures to comply with health department and customer service standards
- Ensure regulatory compliance and report potential issues
- Maintain confidentiality in departmental and company matters
