Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years of culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret graphs
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff and resolve conflicts
  • Able to obtain ServSafe certification
  • Able to complete ServSafe Alcohol training
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Able to manage workflows and provide coaching

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to back of house Buffet department staff
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with management on scheduling concerns
  • Administer all aspects of food preparation ensuring kitchen cleanliness and stock
  • Support compliance with departmental budgets
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with company standards
  • Monitor cost control methods including pars and inventory
  • Assist Sous Chef with administrative duties
  • Maintain quality assurance procedures for health and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and report potential issues
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in departmental and company matters
