Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to work flexible shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe certification
  • Ability to successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification
  • Ability to comply with licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations
  • Able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and balancing in various work environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
  • Strong mathematical skills including ability to compute numbers and interpret graphs
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and resolve conflicts tactfully

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to back of house buffet staff
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate scheduling concerns with management focusing on guest satisfaction
  • Administer food preparation ensuring kitchen cleanliness, stock, and problem resolution
  • Support compliance with departmental budgets
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in line with company standards
  • Monitor cost control methods including inventory and pars
  • Assist Sous Chef with administrative duties
  • Maintain quality assurance procedures to meet health department and customer service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and report issues to management
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
