Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum two years culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Strong math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of bar graphs
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff and resolve problems tactfully
  • Must qualify for required licenses and permits including ServSafe certification
  • Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to buffet staff
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor performance and profit achievements
  • Coordinate scheduling and address scheduling concerns
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation ensuring cleanliness and stock
  • Support compliance with departmental budgets
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service standards
  • Maintain cost control through inventory and par management
  • Assist Sous Chef with administrative duties
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Handle confidential departmental and company information
