Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of audiences
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve conflicts with diplomacy and tact

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager any scheduling concerns with attention to guest satisfaction
  • Administer all aspects of food preparation ensuring kitchen is clean, well-stocked and problem-free
  • Support compliance to departmental budgets
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise
