Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve conflicts diplomatically
  • Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance as required
  • Maintain confidentiality in all company matters

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager any scheduling concerns with attention to guest satisfaction
  • Administer all aspects of food preparation ensuring kitchen is clean, well-stocked and problem-free
  • Support compliance to departmental budgets
  • Actively promote and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards
  • Maintain cost control methods by monitoring consistent pars and inventory
  • Assist Sous Chef with administrative duties
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations and company standards
  • Report potential issues to management
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
