Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Ability to follow recipes and prep sheets
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, whip foods and operate kitchen tools
  • Capability to work in variable temperature environments
  • Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event shifts

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in back-of-the-house foodservice
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
  • Basic math skills for recipe measurements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience training kitchen team members
  • Knowledge of health codes and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Review menus and customer orders to determine food types and quantities
  • Comply with portion sizes, quality standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and storage practices
  • Ensure freshness and quality of all menu items
  • Package products to proper specifications
  • Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked
  • Maintain kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition
  • Use waste control guidelines and record spoilage
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
  • Conduct end-of-day inventory according to guidelines
