Job Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license
- Clean driving record in compliance with company standards
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely
- Experience with handheld delivery devices or ability to learn
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing delivery schedules
- Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle customer returns
- Bilingual ability preferred, especially Spanish
- Knowledge of automotive parts desired
- Ability to operate light store equipment
Job Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
- Driving record meets the company's 14/18-point record system standards
- Possession of a legally required state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements
- Familiarity with automotive parts
- Ability to operate other light store equipment
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner
- Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections
- Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and conduct daily vehicle inspections prior to operating
- Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected at all times
- Pick up customer returns including new, warranty, and cores, and complete driver return slips
- Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately
- Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked and secured at end of day
- Clock in/out according to company policy
- Perform additional duties such as customer service, cashiering, merchandising, stocking, running errands, handling core returns, checking in, and putting up stock orders
- Assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising tasks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
