Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- possess a valid driver’s license
- hold a DOT medical card
- have 3-6 months of commercial driving experience preferred
- prior experience in route sales or delivery preferred
- ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 160 pounds
- availability to work Monday through Friday starting no later than 5:30 am
- ability to operate a delivery truck safely
- knowledge of state alcohol sale laws
- effective interpersonal and communication skills
- basic math competency
- physical capability to handle job demands
Job Qualifications
- Completion of company training program
- possess in-depth knowledge of company products, policies, procedures, and operations
- knowledge of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol
- grooming and hygiene practices consistent with good customer relations
- flexible and adapts well to non-routine work
- high school degree or equivalent
- 3-6 months commercial driving experience preferred
- prior route sales or delivery experience preferred
- interpersonal skills to deal with customers professionally
- basic math skills to complete and balance deposits
- ability to operate handheld units and associated software
- valid driver’s license
- DOT medical card
Job Duties
- Adheres to all check-in/check-out policies and procedures
- assumes full responsibility for all products assigned to be delivered daily to include safeguards against theft, abuse, or loss
- signs for load sheet and verifies number of pallets and equipment
- reviews stop sheets daily and contacts Delivery Supervisor or Distribution Manager regarding missing accounts
- drives truck to deliver all ordered products to daily assigned accounts
- honors all customer requests authorized by management
- stocks and rotates all existing and delivered products on shelves and back stock
- sets up all promotional displays as assigned by specific salesperson
- adds and replaces all POS material as directed via daily hand held communication
- collects empty kegs and out-of-date products
- picks up product damaged by a Beverage South employee or manufacturer defect
- collects payments for the delivery in checks or money order
- provides customer with invoice of transaction, notes all adjustments, obtains signature
- completes daily check-in procedure and reconciliation
- completes daily deposit and verifies with computer totals
- reports market trends and competitive activity to supervisor and recommends response if appropriate
- ensures wheels are chocked when truck is backed into a Beverage South dock
- performs daily equipment checks including vehicle fluid levels and reports any maintenance or performance problems
- operates company vehicle according to Fleet Safety Manual and adheres to all DOT regulations
- performs other duties as assigned by the Distribution Manager/Supervisor
