Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in fleet or delivery management preferred
- Knowledge of transportation regulations including D.O.T. and FMCSA standards
- Ability to use transportation management software such as OT1 and SAMSARA
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel regularly within the state
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team

Job Duties
- Manage delivery personnel and assist with discrepancies and/or complaints
- Understand tractor/trailer vehicle components including pre/post trip damage and on-route issues
- Ensure DVIR is completed properly
- Ensure maintenance is completed timely
- Approve quotes as required for the company owned fleet
- Assist with transportation activities such as dispatching, routing, and tracking using OT1 and SAMSARA
- Regular travel to cross dock locations throughout state
- Manage, inspect, and maintain fleet up to D.O.T./FMCSA/Johnson Brothers standards
- Manage driver’s D.O.T. compliance guidelines using the J.J. Keller site
- Arrange repairs and routine maintenance (PMs, day-to-day issues)
- Maintain and complete accurate records (H.O.S, DVIR, delivery paperwork)
- Ensure all drivers/operators have the correct and up to date qualifications
- Schedule and organize team members day to day/overtime activities
- Maintain fleet properly registered and maintained with state and local regulations
- Gather and compare vendor information (pricing, response time, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for any delivery discrepancy or unit breakdowns
- Inspect fleet for proper D.O.T decals and state registrations
- Maintain breakage to a minimum
- Assess training needs and facilitate ongoing training to ensure driver and delivery effectiveness
- Handle employee issues including but not limited to job duties, scheduling, and discipline
- Be familiar with transit and shipping guidelines
- Check routes nightly for maximum route planning
- Implement plans to increase output, customer efficiency, and profit
- Always be DOT ready
