Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Class B commercial driver’s license with hazardous materials endorsement
- Able to pass Department of Transportation physical
- Pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year truck driving experience preferred
- CETP training and certification for propane delivery
- Apprentice oil burner license for oil delivery
- Ability to work nights and weekends on call
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds
- Reliable and safety conscious
- Strong customer service orientation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Class B commercial driver’s license with hazardous materials endorsement required
- CETP training and certification required for propane delivery
- Apprentice oil burner license required for oil furnace priming
- At least one year of previous truck driving experience preferred
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependability and commitment to safety and company values
Job Duties
- Performs a safety check of the delivery vehicle on a daily basis reporting any items needing repair
- Safely and productively reviews daily manifest, loads truck, and makes deliveries according to federal and state regulations and company policy
- Follows all established delivery standards with emphasis on customer service, efficiency and productivity
- Attends and takes an active role in delivery driver meetings (huddles)
- Effectively communicates with delivery center dispatchers and routing specialists
- Proactively reports any customer concerns or other problems encountered
- Maintains a neat personal appearance including a clean uniform
- Attains a thorough understanding and becomes a proficient user of the Raven handheld device
- Promotes good customer relations by professionally interacting with all customers and by respecting customer property
- Maintains a clean and organized truck stocked with appropriate tools and safety equipment in accordance with company pledges
- Participates in night and weekend on-call schedule
- Primes furnaces or performs leak tests and lights pilot lights as needed
- Embraces growth opportunities including cross-training or supporting other departments as needed
