Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of one-year commercial driving experience
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles under 26,000 pounds GVW
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads, up to and over 100 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively
  • Reliable and responsible work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of one-year commercial driver experience
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Competent in safe vehicle operation
  • Knowledge of material handling and warehouse operations
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and strength for lifting and moving heavy objects
  • Attention to detail and time management abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety protocols and compliance

Job Duties

  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes to ensure proper working condition
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
  • Properly document goods delivered or loaded
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
  • Maintain records such as vehicle logs, cargo records, or billing statements in accordance with regulations
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions
  • Report delays, accidents, or other transportation issues to bases or other vehicles using telephones or mobile two-way radios
