Job Requirements
- be at least 21 years old
- possess a valid driver’s license
- meet company driving record standards
- pass Department of Transportation physical exams
- have experience driving vehicles over 10,000 lbs
- understand safety and compliance regulations
- be detail-oriented and safety conscious
- have good customer service skills
- be able to work independently
Job Qualifications
- be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs
- be at least 21 years old
- possess a proper and valid driver’s license
- have a driving record that meets company criteria for authorized drivers
- know laws, rules, and regulations governing motor vehicles and commercial motor vehicles
- practice safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environments
- build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- remain calm and function effectively in stressful or emergency situations
- learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
- learn and operate computer systems used in delivery
- read, write, speak, and understand English
- perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Job Duties
- operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations
- load the truck at the Profit Center with merchandise and secure the load properly
- understand and review shipping documents for order accuracy and directions
- unload merchandise at delivery locations and obtain legible signatures
- collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries
- work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies
- inspect trucks for safe operating conditions and report mechanical problems
- complete daily vehicle inspection reports if applicable
- remove and store keys in approved location
- complete required safety and compliance training
- perform other related duties as assigned
