Job Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Have a driving record acceptable under company policy
  • Pass Department of Transportation physical exam
  • Able to drive vehicles over 10,000 lbs
  • Ability to pass required safety and compliance training
  • Capable of performing job duties independently
  • Willingness to interact positively with customers and co-workers

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license
  • Have a driving record meeting company standards for Authorized Drivers
  • Pass Department of Transportation physical examination
  • Know laws and regulations governing motor and commercial vehicle operation
  • Apply warehouse and material handling safety precautions
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers
  • Remain calm and effective in stressful or emergency situations
  • Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
  • Operate computer systems used in the delivery process
  • Read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations

Job Duties

  • Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations
  • Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise and secure the load properly
  • Understand and review shipping documents for accuracy
  • Unload correct merchandise and obtain signature upon delivery
  • Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sales prior to release of merchandise
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies with customers at delivery sites
  • Inspect truck and equipment for safe operating condition prior to departure
  • Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck
  • Complete daily vehicle inspection reports when required
  • Remove and store keys at the end of the workday
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
