Job Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have a driving record acceptable under company policy
- Pass Department of Transportation physical exam
- Able to drive vehicles over 10,000 lbs
- Ability to pass required safety and compliance training
- Capable of performing job duties independently
- Willingness to interact positively with customers and co-workers
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a proper and valid driver’s license
- Have a driving record meeting company standards for Authorized Drivers
- Pass Department of Transportation physical examination
- Know laws and regulations governing motor and commercial vehicle operation
- Apply warehouse and material handling safety precautions
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers
- Remain calm and effective in stressful or emergency situations
- Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
- Operate computer systems used in the delivery process
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
Job Duties
- Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations
- Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise and secure the load properly
- Understand and review shipping documents for accuracy
- Unload correct merchandise and obtain signature upon delivery
- Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sales prior to release of merchandise
- Resolve shipping discrepancies with customers at delivery sites
- Inspect truck and equipment for safe operating condition prior to departure
- Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck
- Complete daily vehicle inspection reports when required
- Remove and store keys at the end of the workday
- Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
