Job Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to assigned locations following designated routes
- Ensure accuracy in work assignments by verifying delivery orders and matching items to customer requests
- Load and unload heavy packages and materials, utilizing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies at all times
- Use electronic log systems to record driving hours, delivery status, and vehicle inspections
- Interpret road maps and GPS navigation tools to plan and adjust routes for timely deliveries
- Maintain communication with dispatch and customers to provide updates and resolve delivery issues
