Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Age 21 or older
- Compliance with state licensing and certification rules
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for 3 years
- Pass drug screening and background check
- Successful road test completion
- Valid or obtainable DOT Health Card
- Physical ability to lift and handle freight between 10 and 90 pounds using equipment
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 6 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Possess or be able to obtain a valid DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment for product handling
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor, truck, and trailer to ensure they meet safety standards and take necessary action
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow DOT regulations and company driving policies
- Report all safety hazards immediately
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items to customer storage
- Perform damage control checks, scan items, and notify supervisor about order removals
- Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and returns, complete necessary paperwork
- Perform daily hours of service record and log entries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tractor, dock area and trailers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
