Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Age 21 or older
  • Compliance with state licensing and certification rules
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for 3 years
  • Pass drug screening and background check
  • Successful road test completion
  • Valid or obtainable DOT Health Card
  • Physical ability to lift and handle freight between 10 and 90 pounds using equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment for product handling

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Inspect tractor, truck, and trailer to ensure they meet safety standards and take necessary action
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follow DOT regulations and company driving policies
  • Report all safety hazards immediately
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items to customer storage
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and notify supervisor about order removals
  • Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures
  • Collect payments where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and returns, complete necessary paperwork
  • Perform daily hours of service record and log entries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tractor, dock area and trailers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
