Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum six months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 21 years of age
- Compliance with all state licensing and certification standards
- Clean motor vehicle record for three years
- Successful completion of post offer drug testing and background checks
- Pass road test evaluations
- Obtain or hold current DOT Health Card
- Capable of hand-lifting and operating equipment for handling freight
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months or more commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past three years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or maintain a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure one
- Ability to hand-lift and utilize tools and equipment to move and stack products of varying weights
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company driving policies
- Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as necessary
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined delivery routes and schedules
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Conduct damage control checks on items, scan, and communicate issues to supervisors
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight security at all times
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
- Perform daily records of hours of service in compliance with Federal DOT and company requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tractor, loading dock area, and trailers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
