Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds safely
- compliance with local, state, and federal traffic laws
- availability to work full-time as a non-exempt salaried employee
- ability to follow instructions from supervisors and production leads
- good communication skills for customer interaction
- physical capability to assist in packaging and staging duties
Job Qualifications
- valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required
- previous experience in delivery or driving roles preferred
- ability to work independently and efficiently
- strong communication and customer service skills
- familiarity with basic delivery documentation and route planning
Job Duties
- Represent Dark Matter Coffee’s core values in all interactions with clients, vendors, and team members
- provide excellent customer service by answering common questions about our coffee offerings and operations
- maintain a basic understanding of DMC’s current blends and origins to assist with client inquiries
- report to the Production Manager each morning to review the delivery schedule
- review invoices to verify that orders are complete and accurate before leaving for delivery
- configure delivery routes efficiently, taking into account customer business hours
- deliver orders on time to various client and store locations throughout Chicago
- review the delivery invoice with each client, confirm accuracy, and obtain a signature for receipt
- return all signed invoices to the production department at the end of the shift
- assist with packaging, staging, or other production duties as needed
- comply with all local, state, and federal traffic laws
- report any moving violations, parking tickets, or mechanical issues promptly to the supervisor and finance department
- maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned company vehicle such as removing trash, unused bins, and returned items
- report any damage or irregularities to the vehicle immediately
