Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- one year of driving experience with heavy-duty trucks or large vans
- valid state driver’s license
- valid DOT medical card
- ability to read and follow maps or written directions
- ability to communicate in English with the public
- ability to follow DOT and safety regulations
- physical ability to lift, bend, reach, and carry heavy objects over 100 pounds
- willingness to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
- commitment to support the religious mission of The Salvation Army
Job Qualifications

- one year of experience driving heavy-duty trucks or large vans
- ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- knowledge of assigned geographical area
- ability to organize routes and schedules efficiently
- ability to work with diverse personalities positively
- valid state driver’s license
- valid DOT medical card
Job Duties
- Operate the vehicle within state and federal statutes and guidelines
- read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public
- acquire pick-up tickets and complete routes efficiently
- load donations in an organized manner to prevent damage and maximize pickups
- clean and secure the vehicle and equipment
- conduct daily vehicle inspections including oil, water, and tires
- follow DOT regulations and safety standards
