Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL license at hire
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Successfully pass a drug test including marijuana and a background check
- Clean driving record as required by DOT and company standards
- Registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent
- Must be punctual, goal oriented, and able to meet physical demands of the job
Job Qualifications
- One year previous driving experience
- One year experience in customer service or related field
- High school or equivalent preferred
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
- Ability to operate a delivery van and tractor-trailer CMV
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good problem solving and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and communication skills
Job Duties
- Ensure safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products
- Build and maintain good customer relationships
- Accurately collect customer payments and safeguard company funds
- Perform all sales service functions by the 90th day of employment
- Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and report mechanical issues
- Complete daily check-ins accurately and timely
- Collaborate with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns
- Perform daily pre and post-trip inspection of vehicles and equipment
- Manage paperwork including register, credits, and pick-ups
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with other GFS employees
- Maintain peer relationships in the field and attend department meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
