Job Requirements
- no degree required
- 1+ years of experience required
- possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- must qualify for corporate insurance programs including vehicle insurance
- must meet Department of Transportation testing and physical requirements
- knowledgeable of DOT regulations
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months related delivery driving experience preferred
- prior warehouse operations experience preferred
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel
- basic effective oral communication skills
- ability to solve routine problems by following set directions and procedures
- ability to use guidance and guidelines provided by supervisors and managers
- ability to follow assignments and priorities provided by supervisors and managers
Job Duties
- drive a company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents
- physically load company truck at the location and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the deliveries
- drive to the delivery destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location confirming the accuracy of parts, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded
- make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers
- collect accounts receivable as necessary
- comply with established company policies and procedures
- operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
- provide excellent customer service during delivery and pick-up of products
- assume other duties as assigned
