Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past two years
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds daily
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of delivery driving experience preferred or ability to be trained, preferably delivering products to a retail or customer facing environment
- Hold a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain a DOT medical card
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past two years
- Forklift certification helpful
- Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed to complete deliveries
- Customer service attitude with good communication skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds daily
- Basic math skills
Job Duties
- Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of customer orders
- Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs
- Assist customers with new orders and respectfully handle issues in a timely manner
- Collect payment for products delivered, make necessary changes, and record transactions on proper paperwork obtaining customer’s signature
- Deliver payments to manager at the end of shift
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water daily
- Alert management of necessary or required maintenance/repairs needed on the delivery vehicle in a prompt manner
- Complete daily post-trip vehicle inspection report according to company policy and DOT guidelines
- Attend company meetings and training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
