Job Requirements
- Must be at least 22 years old
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good MVR (no more than 2 points)
- Able to read, write and communicate effectively
- Must demonstrate basic math skills
- Able to lift 20-80 lbs repetitively
- Maintain a high level of physical activity throughout the day
- Must have a cell phone and be reachable during routes
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check as required by DOT
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No prior experience necessary but CDL Class A or B certifications beneficial
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record (no more than 2 points)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Basic math skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift 20-80 lbs repeatedly
Job Duties
- Safe and timely delivery and unloading of products to customers within an assigned route
- Strict adherence to DOT regulations and Atlantic Foods safety policies
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company procedures
- Hand unload product within assigned routes using 2-wheel dollies
- Transport product on ramps, stairs and/or docks
- Place product in designated customer delivery area
- Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem-solving skills, report customer and product issues immediately
- Safely operate equipment and obey all traffic rules and immediately report accidents or damage immediately
- Maintain sanitary conditions and meet standard hygiene requirements
- Check invoices for credit terms at each stop and collect funds when needed
- Collect, sign, and correctly code all invoices
- Turn in reconciliation sheet along with collected funds and invoices to Driver Check-In on a daily basis
- Operate a box truck in busy traffic and/or variable weather conditions on some days
- Participate in formalized training and successfully pass evaluations
- Work occasional weekend routes and overtime as needed
- Maintain communication through cell phone during routes
