Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- Current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Adherence to local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts
- Basic computer skills including Windows and Internet use
- Ability to complete vehicle inspection reports and maintain accurate logs
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must pass motor vehicle record check
- Must pass drug testing as required
Job Qualifications
- Two-years of work experience preferred
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation preferred
- Good knowledge of electrical products/systems preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
- Current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Working knowledge of PC Windows and Internet
- SAP software experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Provides delivery of material to Border States branches and customer sites based on business needs
- Maintains delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitors maintenance and mileage data
- Provides for regular maintenance and cleaning of vehicles
- Schedules DOT/state mandated inspection visits
- Maintains daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets
- Completes truck summary, driver’s log and other backup detail daily
- Pays truck expenses and updates appropriate records
- Adheres to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Loads and unloads material at the branch and customer locations
- May perform warehouse functions including order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving and shipping
- Assists with other duties/projects as assigned by supervisor/manager
- May be responsible for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of their daily route
- May check and pack material for delivery
- Maintains shipping equipment and keeps work area clean and safe
- Assists City Desk and Will Call areas in customer service functions including order entry, filling orders, processing returns, expediting, technical assistance, and Will Call
