Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
- Current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift materials occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting continuously, occasional standing, frequent walking, occasional bending, climbing, reaching, and pushing/pulling
- Proficient in PC and internet use
- Willingness to adhere to local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Ability to plan and organize work effectively
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in English
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain logs
Job Qualifications
- Two years of work experience preferred
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation preferred
- Good knowledge of electrical products/systems preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age required
- Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles required
- Current medical certification required
- Clean driving record essential
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows and Internet
- SAP software knowledge is a plus
Job Duties
- Provide delivery of material to Border States branches and customer sites based on business needs
- Maintain delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitor maintenance and mileage data if required
- Provide for regular maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, as appropriate
- Schedule DOT/state mandated inspection visits, as required
- Maintain daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets
- Complete truck summary, driver's log and other backup detail daily, pay truck expenses and update appropriate records, as appropriate
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Understand truck routes and coordinate deliveries with company trucks, assigned freight companies or other carriers
- Load and unload material at the branch and customer locations
- Perform warehouse functions including order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving and shipping as needed
