Job Requirements
- Must be age 18 or over
- Have a valid state driver's license
- Have regular and predictable access to own automobile
- Have a good driving record for the past three years with no convictions for DWI
- No more than two speeding violations and/or no at-fault accidents, with some minor exceptions
- Ability to furnish proof of insurance coverage compliant with state regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Ability to get in and out of a vehicle repeatedly
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb stairs
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance
- Ability to use equipment like cash registers, calculators, credit card machines, and telephones
- Ability to work in environments with temperature fluctuations
- Ability to walk briskly and carry heavy items
- Compliance with health regulations and Jason's Deli dress code
- Not currently infected with a communicable disease transmissible through food handling
Job Qualifications
- Preferred to be enrolled in high school, a certified G.E.D. program, or have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Qualified applicants preferred to have at least six months work experience unless currently attending high school, college, or a technical or vocational school
- Ability to memorize menu abbreviations and prices
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to count change correctly and handle money and credit card charge slips
- Good communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Picking up the customer's food order at Jason's Deli
- Driving to the customer's residential or commercial address
- Delivering the customer's order
- Performing catering set-up or arranging the catering and food orders
- Collecting the money owed by the customer
- Returning to the deli and picking up additional orders and repeating the above process
- Answering customer questions or handling customers' problems while at the delivery site
- Re-delivering missing items, incomplete orders, or replacements for food mistakes made on the customers' orders
- Counting money, checks, and charge slips to balance tickets and customer payments
