Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles
- Current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and balancing
- Willingness to adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Basic PC and internet skills
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to perform under reasonable accommodations if needed
Job Qualifications
- Two years of work experience preferred
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation preferred
- Good knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age required
- Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles required
- Current medical certification required
- Clean driving record required
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows and internet required
- Experience with SAP software is a plus
- Ability to perform all job aspects accurately and efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in English
- Ability to effectively plan and organize
- Exceptional customer service skills including competence, accuracy, responsiveness, and engagement
Job Duties
- Provide delivery of material to Border States branches and customer sites based on business needs
- Maintain delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitor maintenance and mileage data if required
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of vehicles as appropriate
- Schedule DOT and state mandated inspection visits as required
- Maintain daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets
- Complete truck summary, driver's log and other backup detail daily, pay truck expenses and update appropriate records as needed
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Understand truck routes and coordinate deliveries with company trucks, assigned freight companies or other carriers
- Load and unload material at the branch and customer locations
- Perform warehouse functions including order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving and shipping as needed
- Assist with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of daily route
- Check and pack material to be delivered
- Maintain shipping equipment and keep work area clean and safe
- Assist City Desk and Will Call areas with customer service functions
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
