Job Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of carrying and moving furniture into homes and up staircases
- Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Must not require a commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Basic knowledge of tie-down methods and safe loading practices
- Willingness to report issues promptly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous delivery or moving experience preferred
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with customers
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
Job Duties
- Responsible for the truck
- Responsible for orderly paperwork
- Keeping up with tools and gear on truck
- Reporting all problems to the store and their supervisor as they arise
- Assembling furniture and all aspects of in home delivery
- Maintaining proper appearance and keeping with the dress code
- Making calls to customer prior to delivery
- Proper loading and unloading of the truck
- Making sure of proper tie down methods and that care is taken with pick up or returned items
- Protecting the customer's property at all times
