Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 1-3 years experience in customer-facing roles
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Minimum 2 years safe driving experience
- Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs unassisted regularly
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification if required
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, physical including DOT Medical Card, background check, and motor vehicle record check
- Subject to random and post-accident drug screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 1-3 years of successful experience in customer-facing roles
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with minimum 2 years safe driving, preferred 5+ years
- Proficiency in using a hand truck, basic furniture assembly, and small power tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read invoices and utilize systems
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification if required
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and Hours of Service compliance is a plus
- CDL Class C preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer service and experience
- Act as the brand ambassador while on the road and during deliveries for Scandinavian Designs | Dania Furniture
- Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service while delivering high-quality products to customers
- Assemble furniture and provide repairs or added value services as needed
- Drive large box trucks safely and courteously, following all traffic laws and company safety procedures
- Maintain a timely delivery schedule and communicate with customers to confirm delivery details
- Inspect delivery vehicles pre and post trip to ensure they are in top condition
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with DOT regulations
- Safely load and unload merchandise, ensuring perfect condition
- Remove packaging materials and debris, ensuring a tidy delivery
- Assist with showroom changes, tagging merchandise and maintaining displays
- Greet clients and answer phones
- Perform other duties or special projects when assigned
- Travel long distances including occasional overnight stays
