Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
- minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle
- physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions, ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
- ability to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
- ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, including passing physical and drug screening
- ability to pass road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
- acceptable motor vehicle record per CORT’s safe driving standards
- ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and varied hours
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including regular weekends, nights, and/or early mornings
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
- minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle, 1 year preferred
- physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions
- ability to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
- able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete records
- maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate including passing a physical and drug screening
- ability to pass road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
- acceptable motor vehicle record per CORT's safe driving standards
Job Duties
- Inspect furniture to ensure acceptable condition
- load truck safely to protect products from damage during transport
- attend pre-delivery meetings to review logistics, timelines, and client expectations
- complete pre and post trip truck inspections
- drive box trucks or sprinter vans on delivery routes safely and lawfully
- install and assemble furniture at tradeshow or event venues according to plans or instructions
- inspect furniture for damage during pick-ups and ensure no product is left behind at venues
- interact professionally with clients during deliveries and setups
- supervise temporary labor onsite to ensure tasks are performed safely and according to client requests
- perform warehouse duties as needed including loading, unloading, organizing, and cleaning products
